Calder employs 24 staff from the local village and many of the staff have been with Calder for quite a number of years.

The present Managing Director is Brendan Clayton with his brother Alan as a production Director and Mary their sister in charge of the administration side of the business.

Principally involved in the manufacturing of curtain lining and electric blanket fabric, Calder has diversified into other fields, presently weaving furnishing fabrics and household fabrics.

Over the past 18 months Calder Weaving has been actively investing in new hi-tec textile machinery, namely 4 somet high speed looms, not only have Calder concentrated on the weaving division but have also invested in raising machines, consequently enabling us to increase productivity whilst increasing our own quality of standards.
